Kirsty Ferguson-Lewis (also performing under the name "Kri") is a singer, composer, performer and producer from London. She combines an experimental and explorative approach to vocal composition, performance and electronic music. Having trained as a classical singer Kirsty's vocal technique now establishes a connection with the voice and the body, often imagining this in a feminist context. Kirsty graduated from Goldsmiths University with a masters degree in Music, Creative Practice, culminating with her most recent work; “Sirena”, a feminist opera for three women retelling the sirens from Homer’s “Odyssey”.
Kirsty is a member of Musarc choir and Orchestra NEw Improvisation collective, her collaboration with these ensembles has led her to perform at the LCMF, Post Disaster Rooftop Festival in Taranto, Italy, Cafe Oto, Vortex and recording with Resonance FM.
Kirsty's desire to use her voice experimentally and collaborating recently led her to the Time of Music Festival in Viitasaari, Finland. Studying and performing John Cage's Song Books with Joan La Barbara.
