‘Images’ is a performance work in which I stick, and unstick, multiple pieces of painted tape onto my body. The performance is documented on digital film and accompanied with audio recorded and created separately from the live performance.
My central aim was to explore my role as both the image and image-maker as a female performer and artist. I feature in, as well as create and edit, all of my work; the body and the voice being of central importance. I wanted to focus on this use and expression of myself and unravel my desire to implicate myself in my art as well as expand these conceptual ideas in a feminist way.
